There are many things that the world has and it also has many problems. One of these problems is the world energy crisis. The world energy crisis is a pressing matter and is getting worse. There are many problems that you can connect to the world energy crisis. Our oil wells that power the sum of the world’s power are depleting and researchers show will that it will only last us 42 more years.

61% of our world’s oil reserves are in the Middle East. With 37% of our energy coming from oil, which is the leading energy source, we cannot afford to lose this energy source. With oil, coal, and gas, the leading energy sources research shows we only have 255 years left worth of these materials. We the people need to find better alternatives for these slowing reducing materials.

We need to stop depending on these materials for energy and start using better alternatives for the environment like solar and wind energy. Solar and wind energy are much safer to the society of the world and the environment. This energy will last us much longer then oil, coal, and gas and it's much safer. Before using oil there were 2 trillion recovered barrels and now consumption is roughly around 32 million barrels a year.

So in conclusion, little oil has been found in about 30 years. The prospect of finding more is slim. Some producing regions of oil already have experienced deep declines in oil finding. A congressman from Maryland, Roscoe Bartlett, gave a speech entitled “Our Dependence on Foreign Oil”. This speech was an open letter to the president signed by many prominent people.
